The Door
About This Painting: I had a photo of an old door covered with vines. I liked the weathered door but there was an empty spot right where I put the planter of flowers. Where the flowers are was an old water meter but the hose hung on the side of the building made me think of watering flowers,so I planted some. That is the great thing about being an artist with a brush we can plant flowers.

I am a full time artist. Although each of my paintings is a unique expression, the common thread running through my work is a passion for color combined with highly textural passages and a fluid movement. I create very strong oils full of life and vitality which are an extension of my adventure with life and the joy I find in color. I divide my time between Michigan where I have my studio and my studio in Florida. I paint for shows, galleries, commissions, and eBay auctions. I am an impressionist painter, inspired by Monet, Van Gogh, and Cezanne, just to name a few. My work is colorful and and convey's vitality. I useing lots of bold colors.I creat happy,sunny, warm, colorful, vibrant paintings which will convey a sense of who I am.
