About This Painting: This painting was taken from several small works done at Sleeping Bear National Park in Michigan this Aug. 2012. It was so funny I had found a shady little place behind a dune and under some scrubby little bushes to do my painting sketches  I would keep seeing people come up jump out of their car take 3 or 4 pictures and head out. These young girls had the right idea get some towel and a beverage and really enjoy the day. When you have sand smash into your hair from napping on and off of your towel you know you have had a nice relaxing day at the Dunes.
