Poppy Field

About this painting:
I painted this small oil painting with a palette knife. I sometimes add heavy impasto paint to areas of my painting with a palette knife but do not usually do the whole painting with the knife, because I like a variety of texture to my work. This was a fun little work and the paint is really thick so I hope it dries soon.

Limes

About this painting :The challenge here was to catch the distortion the glass made as you looked at the lime. I also wanted to pick up some of the reflected lime color in the glass.

I have been painting little fat fuzzy sheep this month both in oil and watercolor. It seems once I get on a subject I just keep painting it for awhile. I started this painting because I had sold a long narrow one of sheep with this gray green grass and I wanted another one with that same kind of pasture.
