About This Painting: I had a lot of fun working on this one. I think I would like to do a larger one with more color and texture in the Flamingos. I meant to order some larger canvas when I put in my monthly supply order but I forgot. I keep a list during the month of what I am running low on and place only one order a month. I cleaned and painted the studio this week moving things from one side of the room to other while I painted the floor. In the moving of materials my buy list was misplace. It will now go in my spiral idea book where it will be easy to find.,,,,,,I think---LOL
About This Painting: I wanted to set of the green of the cactus so I painted the flower top red to add a little drama, The bits of white thorns draw the eye to the top of the cactus.
About This Painting: I paint cat but almost never paint dogs so I thought I would give one my favorite little guys a try. I'm a cat girl but Yorkies always make me smile.
When painting these very small oil paintings I have found that putting a cloths pin above and below seems to hold them in place while I paint. In the past I have put tape on the back but I like using the cloths pins best. I can keep the painting at eye level and work from my palette. If you paint aceos in oils let me know how you work with them I would love to hear from you. Poppy No.4
