Canned Tomato's

I am the little Red Hen
with a passion I tend my garden
planted the seeds
weeded the vines

Tomato's canned and sealed
tiny bits of sunshine in jars
warm my winter days with jelly bean color
orange,green,and red
brewed,stewed, and pureed too

Not one left behind
not one on the vine
all in mason jars for winter time
Vespers in the dark of the basement
