I start the painting by doing a general sketch in charcoal.
I put out some of the basic colors that I'm going to use.
Phthalo Blue, Ultramarine Blue, and Cadmium Yellow
I paint the background stripes first.
I take some cadmium red and cadmium yellow to make a bright orange.
I mix a nice pile of paint and use a number 4 brush to work on the stripes.
I block in the blueberries.
Change a few of the things.
I deepen the color and add some shadows.
