Don't put Barbie in the Corner

Don't put Barbie in the Corner
Don't put Barbie in the Corner, painting by Delilah Smith

About This Painting:

Walking into my nieces play room the first thing you think is GI Joe" went wild with dead Barbie’s strewn all over. Legs in the air, a tumble of dolls, each drop and left where it landed; what could have been the doll disaster that struck this play room?

There in the corner one lonely Barbie waiting for someone to ask her to dance. When I ask why Barbie is I the corner, her older sister informs me that only babies play with Barbies big girls play with Bratz Dolls. I thought of the quote from dirty dancing "No one puts Baby in the corner”, maybe it’s time for Barbie to come out and dance.
